IN-CLASS LESSONS

Clever Little Bees offers personalised lessons to schools to support learning as per the New Zealand Science Curriculum. Teachers may enlist Clever Little Bees to ignite inquiry units or as a unique way to finish off teaching units involving environments, insects, life cycles and many other bee-related topics.

Lessons include time with an observational hive so that students may experience bees in a safe and supportive environment, as well as a chance for children to try on bee suits, hold frames to closely examine wax, pollen, nectar, honey and propolis, as well as explore hiveware and an empty hive.

Lessons can either take place in a whole class setting, or in several smaller groups. To add to your experience, Clever Little Bees also provides apiculture-related activity sheets for you to use with your students both before and after the lesson.
